Sliding down the glacier slope, building a snowman, having a snowball fight. You can also hike up the secured Panorama Trail to one of our most popular photo points with life-sized bronze eagle, or all the way up to the National Park Gallery Platform with view of the Grossglockner, Austria’s highest mountain.

You have two options:

  • From the Kaprun town center (Kitzsteinhornplatz 1a): You take the MK Maiskogelbahn at the Kaprun Center, ride up to the top station and change to the 3K K-onnection – one of world’s most modern and energy-efficient cable cars that gives spectacular views of the high-alpine landscape. From Langwied, the other cable cars will take you all the way up to TOP OF SALZBURG.
  • From the Kaprun head of the valley (Kesselfallstrasse 60): You take the Gletscherjet 1 or Panoramabahn. From Langwied, the other cable cars will take you all the way up to TOP OF SALZBURG.

Please note: Both the MK Maiskogelbahn and the 3K K-onnection are not open all year round. Before your arrival, check the current Operation & opening hours »
