New breathtaking movie about the Kitzsteinhorn
Since June 27, Austria's highest-situated movie theater Cinema 3000 shows a new film.
The spectacular shots were filmed over the course of two years on over 60 shooting days under extreme conditions. The film was directed by Romy award winner Michael Schlamberger.

Making of
The same-named previous movie had already been a huge success, won numerous international prizes and set the bar accordingly high for director Michael Schlamberger. He took on the task of notching up yet another success and offering the viewer new insights into the Kitzsteinhorn. First viewers' feedback confirms: In two months of pure shooting time spread over two years, he and his ScienceVision crew succeeded in achieving that.
But not only the images were supposed to impress, but also the sound. No speech should be used. The aim was to let the images speak for themselves. Therefore, Schlamberger worked together with the exceptional musician and composer Alberto Lovison for over a year. Together they wanted to offer the audience an exciting movie theater experience for all senses. Viewers dive in a mountain world that offers nature and sports enthusiasts endless possibilities all year round, amid the unqiue and breathtakingly beautiful flora and fauna of the Hohe Tauern.

Cinema 3000 – location
The Cinema 3000 is part of TOP OF SALZBURG, Salzburg's highest-situated attraction on 3,029 meters. The high-alpine adventure world on the Hohe Tauern National Park border is open year-round and the highest point in the state of Salzburg to be easily reachable via cable cars. Visiting it requires no mountaineering skills whatsoever.
Besides the Cinema 3000, two panoramic platforms and the mystical 360-m-long info tunnel National Park Gallery offer breathtaking views of and fascinating insights into the high-alpine mountain world. Salzburgs's highest-situated restaurant Gipfel Restaurant offers a delicious Summit Breakfast as well as lunch in front of floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows.
