presented by Audi
January 2025 – When ice, art and technology come together on the Kitzsteinhorn, something unique is created: On a sun plateau 2,600 MASL, three igloos conceal one of the most extraordinary works of art in the Alpine region.
Wonder world of ice & snow
Year after year, ice and snow sculptures, light installations and sounds narrate a new, fascinating story, transporting skiers and winter hikers into another fantastic world.
Art project "AERO 3000"
The team around Chris Geissler and Andy Tremschnig is responsible for building the igloos, artist and sculptor Max Seibald for planning and designing them. Together, they aim to convey significant messages and invite to greater awareness through partially interactive art elements.
This year's art projekt "AERO 3000" connects the beauty of nature with the innovation of technology and creates an immersive experience that transports visitors to a world of purest air. That way, the ski vacation is enriched with insights everyone can eventually take back into their daily lives.
"presented by Audi" since 2012
The Gletscherbahnen Kaprun AG has carried out the ICE CAMP in successful cooperation with Audi Austria for over a decade. Therefore, one of the three igloos has provided a unique stage for a selected Audi model since 2012. In line with the decarbonization initiative of the Gletscherbahnen Kaprun AG, the Audi Q6 e-tron takes center stage in 2025.
Easily accessible
The ICE CAMP can be visited and experienced until around mid-April. For winter sports enthusiasts, it's easily accessible via the slopes, for winter hikers via the marked "ICE CAMP Trail", which starts at the Alpincenter at 2,450 m (approx. 30-min walk). In front of the igloos, the sun deck with snack bar, sun loungers and lounge music invites for a relaxing break. On Saturdays from March 1 to April 19, the ICE CAMP Sounds event series with live DJs takes place here.
