Getting to the Kitzsteinhorn

In the morning: Unhindered access to the Kitzsteinhorn & Maiskogel from all directions

In the evening, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.:

Kaprun > Gletscherjet valley station, Kesselfallstrasse 60

  • Unhindered access to the Kitzsteinhorn valley station coming from almost all Kaprun town areas
    (only on foot if coming from the Tauern SPA and Schloßstraße road)
  • Free busses (Route 660) shuttle from the JUFA Kaprun hotel to the Kitzsteinhorn valley station.
    (see maps and schedules at the bus stops)

Kaprun > MK Maiskogelbahn valley station / Maisi Flitzer, Kitzsteinhornplatz 1a

  • Arriving at the Kaprun Center is possible via the road between the Lachmayr guest house and the Neumair/ADEG supermarket as well as via the rotary exit “Maiskogel” on the Landesstrasse/Umfahrungsstrasse road.
  • Coming from Piesendorf, arriving is possible via the Einödweg road (Piesendorf › Hummersdorf › Kaprun).

Moreover, if coming from:

Zell am See, Mittersill, Piesendorf, Fürth > Kitzsteinhorn

  • Unhindered access until noon, in the afternoon again from 4:30 p.m. onwards

Bruck > Kitzsteinhorn

  • Unhindered access until 12:30 p.m., in the afternoon again from 4:50 p.m. onwards

Bischofshofen > Kitzsteinhorn

  • Unhindered access until 11:00 a.m., in the afternoon again from 4:30 p.m. onwards
