World-class snowparks, top-notch superpipe included
The Kitzsteinhorn in the Zell am See-Kaprun region is renowned as the place to be for everyone looking for the ultimate kick. From fall through spring, the well-known snowparks offer a top-notch freestyle playground with varied set-ups – from rails and boxes over tanks and tubes to jumps and kickers, the glacier ski resort leaves nothing to be desired. Prestigious competitions are held in the Kitzsteinhorn snowparks and superpipe, such as the “World Rookie Tour Finals” and the “Austrian & German Masters”.

Snowparks

The snowparks on the Kitzsteinhorn are world-class and impress freestylers with diverse set-ups. The “Glacier Park” on the glacier plateau at 2,900 meters provides first features already in fall. The “Easy Park“ at 2,550 meters opens in December, followed by the “Central Park” at 2,500 meters in January and the “South Central Park” at 2,670 meters in February.

• Glacier Park
  The Glacier Park is located highest and offers first features already in fall. The set-up is expanded until December, eventually consisting of easy to intermediate lines with mainly rails and tanks.
• Easy Park
  The Easy Park opens in December and remains open until the end of freestyle season. Here, the lines are also easy to intermediate, with rails, boxes, jumps and kickers.
• Central Park
  Experienced and pro riders romp around in the Central Park from January, where up to 14-m-high kickers and 10-m-long rails as well as tubes and tanks await.
• South Central Park
  From February, the Jib Line in the South Central Park allows a continuous run over the Easy Park and Central Park, meaning: riding up to 20 obstacles in succession in one run.

Superpipe

Built by Olympia shaper Alli Zehetner and his team, the perfectly-shaped superpipe in the Sonnenkarbahn area attracts world’s best halfpipe riders to its up to 6.5-m-high walls: At the annual “Pipe Training Weeks” in November, legendary names of the international freestyle scene train for their upcoming competition season. During the event, pipe champions book exclusive training slots before the pipe opens to the public in December.
